Why You Should NOT Advertise

Did you watch the Superbowl? Well, I didn’t (I was never a big sports fan. For my partner Dipika, though, it’s a different story), but I watched some of the ads over the internet. Now, I bet they got some bargain prices for the air time this year with all the talk of doom and gloom, but still, I am not convinced the advertisers got their money’s worth. Advertising, in fact, any promotion that’s based on interrupting the prospect in her track, is fast becoming ineffectual in selling anything.  Don’t take my word for it.  Here’s Seth Godin explaining why.
