Speaking of asking yourself questions: this from a successful lawyer, via Dirty Lawndry (Thanks Karrie!):

“Define yourself first, then focus on your business or solo practice. Until you know yourself - how can you help others? I have myself struggled mightily in my transition from the business world to the solo practice world - primarily due to “defining myself as a solo practitioner.”
...Today, after a year plus of solo practice, I am finally understanding my own practice as a solo practitioner. Now I can truly be helpful to others. Part of this ‘process’ has been the idea of not being afraid to try and fail. ”
